However, there is a new alternate uniform coming in 2026-27.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sportslogos.net\/2026\/01\/05\/report-new-nhl-city-connect-style-uniform-program-coming-next-season\/hockey\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sportslogos<\/a>, the NHL has filed a trademark on the phrase \u201cHometown Remix\u201d as it\u2019s next jersey initiative, which is believed to be similar to the two prvious Reverse Retro uniforms league-wide.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/hockeyjerseys\/comments\/1q2lm0c\/202627_alternate_jersey_program\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Unconfirmed reports<\/a> state that although the Devils are retiring their black third jersey, another black alternate will take it\u2019s place in 2026-27.<\/p>\n<p>Fans have speculated ever since the Stadium Series in 2024 if the Devils would revive the outdoor uniform with the Devils silhouette. However, in black as opposed to the previous red uniform.<\/p>\n<p>The Devils debuted the black third Jersey jersey in 2021 as their first full-time alternate. They announced the jersey retirement by the end of 2025-26 via the \u201cJersey Jersey Goodbye Tour,\u201d wearing the uniform for the final 11 times this season. <\/p>\n<p>New Jersey\u2019s previous two uniforms incentivized by the NHL\u2019s Reverse Retro program restored historic looks to the Devils.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1180\" height=\"1139\" data-id=\"1398554\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/NHL-Buffalo-Sabres-at-New-Jersey-Devils-15740979-scaled-e1770816145886.jpg\" alt=\"NHL: Buffalo Sabres at New Jersey Devils\" class=\"wp-image-1398554\"  \/>Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images<\/p>\n<p>In 2021-22, the Devils\u2019 first Reverse Retro uniform was green-based with red and white accents.
