Canada crushed the Czech Republic 5-0 to kick off its Olympic tournament, and Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki made a successful debut.<\/p>\n

We now also have confirmation that the chemistry is already working between the Canadiens captain and his new teammates, including Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a little comment that caught people\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n

After scoring his very first goal at the Olympic Games late in the match, Nick Suzuki had a brilliant spontaneous reaction.<\/p>\n

He immediately turned to number 97 to give him all the credit.<\/p>\n

\u201cNice pass!\u201d Suzuki said to Connor McDavid with a big smile.<\/p>\n

The play indeed seemed orchestrated to perfection.<\/p>\n

In his postgame interview, Suzuki had the journalists laughing as he revealed the truth behind the play.<\/p>\n

Did Nick Suzuki score the luckiest goal of the tournament?<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old forward played it straight: he had no intention of deflecting the puck that way.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanted to get back to my strong side,\u201d he admitted humbly.<\/p>\n

McDavid\u2019s pass was so quick and precise that it accidentally hit his stick and beat goaltender Lukas Dostal.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s where you see McDavid\u2019s talent.<\/p>\n

Suzuki\u2019s \u201cNice pass\u201d therefore takes on a whole different meaning; it was as much a thank you as it was a hilarious observation.<\/p>\n

In the end, the scoresheet shows a goal for Suzuki and an assist for McDavid.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the kind of lighthearted moment that brings a team together at the start of a competition.<\/p>\n
