According to NHL insider Nick Kypreos<\/a>, St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong is officially taking calls on captain Brayden Schenn<\/a> for the second deadline in a row. For a Vegas team desperately needing stability down the middle following the extended LTIR absence of William Karlsson, this is the smoke that usually leads to a fire.<\/p>\n

Schenn, who possesses a 15-team no-trade list, represents a specific type of target for Vegas: a \u201cheavy\u201d player with championship pedigree.
