Let\u2019s call it like it is \u2014 the crease congestion in Laval was starting to get heavy. The verdict came down this morning for Hunter Jones.<\/p>\n

The netminder is officially leaving the Rocket organization to rejoin the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Lions. We can agree that it\u2019s the logical decision for everyone.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s be honest, Jones needs to see shots to stay sharp. In Laval, he only played 2 games this season, posting a 3.11 average.<\/p>\n

Fowler was back in his crease on Friday. The Canadiens prospect has been dominant this year with a 18-7-0 record and a .916 save percentage.<\/p>\n

With Kaapo Kahkonen back healthy, Jones found himself as the odd man out. In today\u2019s hockey, a goalie who doesn\u2019t play gets rusty.<\/p>\n

With the Lions, Hunter Jones should quickly regain his rhythm. He has excelled in his career in the ECHL with a 2.01 average and 11 wins in 18 games this season.<\/p>\n

He is expected to carry the workload to help the Lions. Fans in the Mauricie region will be happy to see their trusted man back between the pipes.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s admit it, the Canadiens organization manages its depth chart very fluidly. This reassignment to the ECHL will allow him to rebuild his confidence for the stretch run.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll be keeping a close eye on his performances this weekend. A player\u2019s character is often measured by his ability to bounce back after a demotion.<\/p>\n
