On a recent edition of Sekeres and Price, Matt Sekeres says that the Vancouver Canucks should try to complete a deal with the Los Angeles Kings before the trade deadline based on their General Manager’s history of making bad moves, which could end up benefiting Patrik Allvin.<\/p>\n
“I hope these Canucks managers are in constant contact with Kenny Holland before he goes and does something stupid with someone else…Kenny, let’s chit chat about the deal you can make for Elias Pettersson.” Matt Sekeres said.<\/p>\n
“While it’s still a rumor – something we don’t normally spend too much time on, but this was just too intriguing to not stop and give it pause for a few minutes – two separate sources over the past week have indicated to Mayor’s Manor that they believe Holland is kicking the tires on a potential Kane trade.” Mayor’s Manor said.<\/p>\n
The news was later confirmed by Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period who said, “Reports stating the Kings inquired about Kane are accurate, per sources.”<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles Kings are hoping for a deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year, especially with it being Anze Kopitar’s last season in the National Hockey League.<\/p>\n
Ken Holland essentially declared that he’s “all-in” this year after completing a move with the New York Rangers before the Olympic break for Artemi Panarin and with one of their key forwards, Kevin Fiala, suffering a season-ending injury at the Winter Games in Milan, perhaps we’ll see him ramp up his pursuit of Evander Kane or another Vancouver Canucks forward.<\/p>\n
