Brisson keeps finding the net, and the vibe around him has flipped.

He scored again Friday night, and the chatter got louder immediately. The Wolf Pack don’t have many forwards running hot like this right now.

Brisson has nine points in his last 10 games, and Rangers fans are already connecting it to possible deadline trades. That’s how it works when the big club is retooling.

The Rangers also know what they have in him. They liked him enough to extend him on a one-year deal last summer.

Brendan Brisson scored again tonight for Hartford

He has 9 points in his last 10 games.

I wonder if we trade a few forwards and Miller sits out if we see some Brisson NHL games

This isn’t some random late bloomer who appeared out of nowhere. Brisson is 24, drafted in 2020, first round, 29th overall, by the Vegas Golden Knights.

However, the New York Rangers acquired him at the 2025 deadline in the Reilly Smith deal, and the whole point was adding a young skill bet to the pipeline.

In Hartford, he’s been used like a scorer, not a passenger. He’s also earned power-play looks, and that’s where his shot pops most.

Brendan Brisson could be next in line for New York Rangers minutes

Rangers fans are skeptical right now, because they’ve watched “hot in Hartford” stories fizzle before, but this one feels different because the roster might actually open a door.

If New York moves a couple of forwards after the Olympic freeze lifts, minutes have to go somewhere. A short audition for Brisson suddenly becomes practical.

He’s not going to replace a star’s offense. The fit is more about giving the middle-six a jolt and seeing if his pace and release translate against NHL sticks.

Either way, the timing is lining up. When the NHL schedule turns back on, don’t be shocked if Brisson’s name is one of the first call-up debates on Broadway.

Previously on NY Hockey Insider

POLL

19 HOURS AGO|67 ANSWERS

Report: Unexpected prospect on the verge of earning a full-time position on the New York Rangers

Should the New York Rangers call up Brendan Brisson after the Olympics?

Photo credit: Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images Brendan Brisson is surging for Hartford, and the New York…

[5111
21113,9204,5221,5,3328,35,5190,5193,4,23743,36,53324
0":"post-460329","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-york-rangers","8":"tag-ahl-scoring","9":"tag-brendan-brisson","10":"tag-hartford-wolf-pack","11":"tag-hockey","12":"tag-new-york","13":"tag-new-york-rangers","14":"tag-newyork","15":"tag-newyorkrangers","16":"tag-nhl","17":"tag-nhl-call-up","18":"tag-rangers","19":"tag-rangers-retool
["GET
