This situation should not be take lightly.<\/p>\n
Wednesday, February 18th, is a day to stay out of avalanche terrain entirely. The CAIC is urging all backcountry travelers to stick to simple, low-angle terrain under 30 degrees and ensure they are well clear of runout zones. In areas under Avalanche Warning, you can easily trigger large, destructive avalanches, with natural releases are expected as well.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1079\" data-attachment-id=\"15088514\" data-permalink=\"https:\/\/unofficialnetworks.com\/2026\/02\/18\/caic-issues-avalanche-warnings\/screenshot-12120\/\" data-orig-file=\"https:\/\/unofficialnetworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-17-at-6.23.54-PM-scaled.jpg\" data-orig-size=\"2048,1151\" data-comments-opened=\"0\" data-image-meta=\"{"aperture":"0","credit":"","camera":"","caption":"Screenshot","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"Screenshot","orientation":"0"}\" data-image-title=\"D3 avalanche from January 3rd, 2026.\" data-image-description=\"<p>D3 avalanche from January 3rd, 2026.<\/p>
\" data-image-caption=\"<p>D3 avalanche from January 3rd, 2026.<\/p>
\" data-medium-file=\"https:\/\/unofficialnetworks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-17-at-6.23.54-PM-1280x719.jpg\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-17-at-6.23.54-PM-1920x1079.jpg\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"D3 avalanche from January 3rd, 2026.\" class=\"wp-image-15088514\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-17-at-6.23.54-PM-1920x1079.jpg\"\/>D3 avalanche from January 3rd, 2026.
