While Team Canada<\/a> had NHL talent on its Olympic roster, it never trailed in a game.<\/p>\n

Until David Pastrnak<\/a> changed that Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Boston Bruins<\/a> star forward gave Team Czechia a 2-1 lead<\/a> with his goal in the first period. It marked the first time<\/a> in 805 minutes and 1 second that Canada trailed.<\/p>\n

Despite the go-ahead goal, Canada came back, forced overtime and earned a quarterfinal win on a Mitch Marner goal to advance the Canadians<\/a> to the semifinal and send the Czechs packing. <\/p>\n

Canada\u2019s next opponent will depend on the outcome of USA\u2019s quarterfinal against Sweden. If the Americans win, Canada will face Finland. If Sweden emerges victorious, they will face the Canadians. <\/p>\n
