Another incredibly competitive guy who works. It comes down to someone making an offer they can’t say no to.” Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman said back in November.

Should the Vancouver Canucks officially make Conor Garland available on the trade market, Patrik Allvin is going to have a number of teams lining up to try to acquire the 29-year-old winger, one of which appears to be a Western Conference contender.

Western Conference contender named as possible landing spot for Conor Garland

“In Garland, they’d get someone who already has established chemistry with Hughes, and who is a personal friend – something that could come in handy as they attempt to extend Hughes starting this summer. That’s something the Canucks once hoped Garland could play a role in, and maybe he still can, just not in Vancouver.” Roget said about Garland’s potential fit in Minnesota.

The big thing for the Canucks, if they do want to move Conor Garland, is it’ll need to be done prior to July 1st, which is when his new contract kicks in that also comes with a full no-movement clause for the first three seasons.

There will be interest in Garland over the next couple of weeks, there’s no question about that, but any trade will need to include a big asset coming back to Vancouver, someone that will make an impact on this club in the years to come, perhaps a prospect like Lirim Amidovski (North Bay – OHL) or even Charlie Stramel (Michigan State University – NCAA), although the latter might be tough to pry out of the hands of Bill Guerin.

Previously on Vancouver Hockey Daily

POLL

42 MINUTES AGO|14 ANSWERS

All signs point to the Vancouver Canucks reuniting Conor Garland with Quinn Hughes on the Minnesota Wild

Do you think the Minnesota Wild have the assets needed to pull of a Conor Garland trade?

                 …

[5118
1613,42587,5,161,38,5280,4,27,5692,8441,162
post-464694","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-minnesota-wild","tag-conor-garland","tag-conor-garland-trade-rumors","tag-hockey","tag-minnesota","tag-minnesota-wild","tag-minnesotawild","tag-nhl","tag-vancouver-canucks","tag-vancouver-canucks-news","tag-vancouver-canucks-trade-rumors","tag-wild
["GET
