After trailing 2-0 in the second period, the greatest upset in the tournament was a very real possibility.<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/bolavip.com\/en\/topic\/canada\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Canada\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Canada<\/a> managed to regroup and, despite not having <a href=\"https:\/\/bolavip.com\/en\/topic\/sidney-crosby\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Sidney Crosby\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sidney Crosby<\/a> available, secured the victory with a goal by MacKinnon with only 35 seconds left on the clock. That sent them to the gold medal game. <\/p>\n<p>This was Nathan\u2019s reaction during an interview with NBC. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t easy. I thought we played a good game, especially in the second period, we took over and didn\u2019t let it go. It was a great effort by everybody. I\u2019m happy the goal counted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>    Nathan MacKinnon sends message to Sidney Crosby <\/p>\n<p>Nathan MacKinnon acknowledged that they missed Sidney Crosby, although the <a href=\"https:\/\/bolavip.com\/en\/topic\/pittsburgh-penguins\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Pittsburgh Penguins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> legend spent a lot of time talking with them during intermissions. He also praised Connor McDavid\u2019s outstanding work as captain against Finland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got 25 leaders. We\u2019re missing the leader of all though, and it sucks. You can\u2019t replace Sidney Crosby as a person and as a player. He\u2019s still around. He\u2019s still our captain. Connor McDavid really stepped up today. He led the way for the rest of us. We have a lot of veteran players in there that have been in big moments. So, we\u2019re confident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, Team Canada will pursue the historic gold medal next Sunday.
