Jack Hughes scored the overtime winning goal as Team USA beat Team Canada 2-1 for the gold medal.<\/p>\n<p>Connor Hellebuyck was standing on his head as Team Canada went wave after wave of attack. Canada outshot the USA 42-28. San Jose Sharks superstar Macklin Celebrini tied <a href=\"https:\/\/sharkshockeydigest.com\/tag\/nathan-mackinnon\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"46\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nathan MacKinnon<\/a> for the game-high in shots with six. Celebrini had multiple grade A chances in the third period, including on a late third-period power-play.<\/p>\n<p>Hellebuyck made multiple breakaway saves, including on Celebrini, as well as one incredible <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NBCOlympics\/status\/2025589461816414537?s=20\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">stick save<\/a> on Colorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews.<\/p>\n<p>A silver medal is not a gold, and will likely leave Celebrini hungrier for more, but the 19-year-old had an incredible tournament. In six games, the San Jose Sharks centerman had five goals and five assists.
