The Jordan Kyrou situation has just reignited excitement among Canadiens fans.<\/p>\n

The St. Louis Blues star forward has reportedly officially informed management that he is now open to waiving his no-movement clause to leave Missouri.<\/p>\n

We can all agree that the Blues\u2019 situation, sitting 31st in the league, is pushing the talented winger toward the exit. David Pagnotta also confirmed that the player is ready for a fresh start, which puts Kent Hughes back in the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n

The March 6 trade deadline is fast approaching, and the Canadiens are actively looking for a top-line winger. Kyrou checks all the boxes with an $8.125M contract that remains valid for four more seasons after this one.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s the type of asset who fits perfectly with the club\u2019s current roster. His NHL career statistics speak for themselves, despite a more modest total of 32 points, including 13 goals, in 47 games played this year.<\/p>\n

At 27 years old, the big winger has proven offensive production with two seasons nearing the 40-goal mark. Simply put, his immediate offensive impact would stabilize Montreal\u2019s top six for the long term.<\/p>\n
