The Florida Panthers<\/a> may be facing a major late-season concern, as growing reports suggest Brad Marchand\u2019s availability for the remainder of the year is very much in question.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following Team Canada\u2019s Olympic run, league insiders believe the veteran winger may have been playing through a significant injury, raising the possibility that his season could already be over.<\/p>\n

Brad Marchand Injury Concerns Grew During Olympics<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old missed multiple games early in the tournament and, even after returning for the medal round, he looked far from his usual pace in Canada\u2019s semifinal win over Finland and the gold medal loss to the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to insider Jeff Marek, there were moments where it appeared Marchand was playing like someone who knew it might be his final hockey of the season.<\/p>\n

The veteran had already been dealing with a lingering issue before the Olympic break, missing NHL games in January, which makes the timing of the international workload even more concerning.<\/p>\n

If Marchand is unable to return, the impact on Florida would be significant.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has been one of the club\u2019s most productive forwards this season, recording 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points in just 45 games.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Beyond the scoring, his leadership and playoff experience were obviously major reasons the Panthers acquired him ahead of last year\u2019s deadline after a long run with the Boston Bruins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Marchand\u2019s status now hinges on a full medical evaluation once he\u2019s back with the team, and the organization has not yet provided an official update.
