(AP Photo\/Petr David Josek) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">All born in the U.S., Jack, 24, Quinn, 26, and Luke Hughes, 22, relocated to the Greater Toronto Area in 2006 as young children when their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nhl\/story\/_\/id\/23031303\/meet-hughes-brothers-america-future-first-family-hockey-nhl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">father Jim took a coaching job with the Toronto Maple Leafs\u2019 AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">They lived in Canada until 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/avalanche\/news\/2019-draft-prospect-profile-jack-hughes-307716634\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">when the family moved to Michigan<\/a>, where the three brothers would join the U.S. National Team Development Program (NTDP) en route to the NHL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">While in Toronto, the Hughes brothers played junior hockey for the Toronto Marlboros of the Greater Toronto Hockey League, whose notable alumni include Connor McDavid and Sam Bennett, both of whom were on this year\u2019s Canadian Olympic men\u2019s hockey team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Jim Hughes told NHL.com that the strong hockey culture present in Toronto helped all three of his sons to excel at the sport from an early age. \u201cWhen they weren\u2019t playing it, they were watching it. It was everywhere.
