{"id":474513,"date":"2026-02-27T06:04:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T06:04:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/474513\/"},"modified":"2026-02-27T06:04:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T06:04:13","slug":"wilds-quinn-hughes-to-appear-on-snl-and-the-tonight-show-brother-jack-may-join","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/474513\/","title":{"rendered":"Wild\u2019s Quinn Hughes to appear on \u2018SNL\u2019 and \u2018The Tonight Show\u2019; brother Jack may join"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We know what Quinn Hughes has done on the ice to transform the Minnesota Wild. <\/p>\n<p>Since his mid-December acquisition, the Wild have scored the most goals in the NHL, earned the most points in the Western Conference and have the most prolific defensemen in the league. <\/p>\n<p>Well, he\u2019s also now putting the usually anonymous Wild on the national stage.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh off winning a gold medal in Milan at the Olympics, scoring in overtime to beat Sweden, leading the United States in scoring with eight points and having a point in all six games he played, the superstar defenseman will not only appear on \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d on Saturday night, but he\u2019ll also fly back to New York on Monday to appear on \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wild president of hockey operations and general manager Bill Guerin confirmed what FanDuel Sports North publicized Thursday night, with the Wild playing the Colorado Avalanche in Denver, that Hughes will fly to New York on Saturday for his 11:30 p.m. \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d appearance at NBC studios and then return to New York on Monday for an afternoon taping of Fallon\u2019s show. After each production, he will fly back to Minnesota to play the St. Louis Blues on Sunday at 4 p.m. CT and the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. CT. <\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, according to a league source, Hughes\u2019 younger brother Jack Hughes, who scored the \u201cGolden Goal\u201d to beat Canada in the gold medal game, will appear on \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d with Quinn on Monday and may even be on \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d if the Devils can return to New Jersey in time after playing the Blues on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s uncertain if any other USA Hockey players will be on either show. <\/p>\n<p>Quinn Hughes had a crazy schedule this week. <\/p>\n<p>He won the gold medal Sunday. On Monday, he chartered with his United States teammates from Milan to Miami for a party at the ultraclub E11EVEN. On Tuesday, he flew from Miami to Washington, D.C., to visit the White House and be honored during the State of the Union with his USA teammates. On Wednesday, he boarded Wild owner Craig Leipold\u2019s private jet in Washington and flew to Minneapolis, where he met up with his Wild teammates and flew to Denver via charter to play the Avalanche on Thursday night. After the game \u2014 a 5-2 win \u2014 he was to fly to Salt Lake City to play the Utah Mammoth on Friday night. After that game, he\u2019ll return to Minnesota and land Saturday morning. On Saturday, he\u2019ll fly to New York for \u201cSNL.\u201d On Sunday, he\u2019ll return to Minnesota to play the Blues. On Monday, he\u2019ll fly back to New York to do Fallon. On Tuesday, he\u2019ll fly back to Minnesota to play the Lightning.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, he\u2019ll hopefully be able to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Hughes assisted on one of Joel Eriksson Ek\u2019s two goals in Thursday\u2019s win at Colorado to extend his assist and point streaks to 11 games, the longest active streaks in the NHL. <\/p>\n<p>He has 35 points in 27 games since joining the Wild.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"We know what Quinn Hughes has done on the ice to transform the Minnesota Wild.
