Minnesota Wild<\/a> defenceman Quinn Hughes<\/a> will appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend following his Olympic gold medal win with Team USA last Sunday.<\/p>\n

Initially revealed by the Wild\u2019s broadcast network FanDuel Sports North and confirmed to The Athletic by team president Bill Guerin<\/a>, Hughes will join host Connor Storrie of Heated Rivalry on stage at NBC Studios in New York City. <\/p>\n

He will also tape an edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Monday afternoon in New York alongside his brother and gold-medal game overtime hero Jack Hughes<\/a>. According to The Athletic, both Hughes brothers may appear on SNL together if the Devils can return to New Jersey in time following their game at 5:00 p.m. ET in St. Louis against the Blues.<\/p>\n

It will be a busy weekend for Quinn, who plays Friday night in Utah against the Mammoth. While he\u2019ll be back in plenty of time for Saturday\u2019s 11:30 p.m. ET SNL start time, he\u2019ll have a tighter turnaround for his spot with Fallon on Monday as the Wild play home games both Sunday and Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Hughes led the U.S. team in scoring during the Olympics with eight points and also had at least one point in every game of the tournament. He has five goals and 58 points in 53 games this NHL season split between the Wild and Vancouver Canucks<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a whirlwind last few days for members of the U.S. men\u2019s team following their Olympic triumph over Canada. After returning to the U.S. and partying in Miami on Monday, several American players — including the Hughes brothers — spent Tuesday in Washington, D.C., first at the White House and then at Tuesday evening\u2019s state of the union speech on the invitation of U.S. president Donald Trump. <\/p>\n

Most players returned to their NHL teams on Wednesday as the season resumed following the Olympic break.
