Follow all the latest trades here<\/a> and the most up to date signings here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hronek the lone Canucks untouchable?<\/p>\n The Vancouver Canucks<\/a> are actively holding trade talks on Tyler Myers<\/a>, Evander Kane<\/a> is expected to be dealt before the deadline, and the team is listening on centre Elias Pettersson<\/a>.<\/p>\n So, just how deep are the Canucks willing to go when it comes to selling players at next week\u2019s deadline? TSN Hockey Insiders Darren Dreger and Chris Johnston suggested Thursday that Filip Hronek<\/a> may be the only untouchable on the roster. <\/p>\n Dreger noted on Insider Trading that Brock Boeser<\/a>, who inked a seven-year contract with the Canucks just seven months ago, is willing to consider trade options. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s interesting to me that Brock Boeser<\/a>\u2019s name is out there,\u201d Dreger explained on Insider Trading. \u201cThis guy just signed a seven-year contract with the Canucks on July 1st. Now, is he willing to move?<\/p>\n \u201cWell, he is, if there\u2019s a fit that makes sense to Boeser and his family. He\u2019s a playoff performer, so teams will express some interest.<\/p>\n \u201cI look at Jake DeBrusk<\/a>, we talked about Elias Pettersson<\/a> on Tuesday, but the most likely to get moved in Vancouver, sooner than later, is Evander Kane<\/a> in the next couple of days.\u201d<\/p>\n NEWS: Darren Dreger and Chris Johnston on the Insider Roundtable suggest that everyone is on the table in Vancouver except Filip Hronek. #Canucks<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 OverDrive (@OverDrive1050) February 27, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n The suggestion of only Hronek being unavailable suggests the Canucks could also listen to interest in shut-down goaltender Thatcher Demko<\/a> and Conor Garland<\/a>, who also inked extensions with the team on July 1. <\/p>\n DeBrusk is the second season of a seven-year deal carrying a cap hit of $5.5 million. The 29-year-old winger has 13 goals and 28 points in 57 games this season after posting a career-best 28 goals and 48 points in his first season with the Canucks.<\/p>\n The Myers trade watch continues after he was scratched from the team\u2019s lineup on Wednesday for trade-related reasons. With a full no-move clause, Myers controls his destiny and it appears he is not interested in waiving it for a move to the Detroit Red Wings<\/a>, who made an offer to the Canucks this week.<\/p>\n \u201cI think at this point in time, (Detroit is) not necessarily a place that Myers is looking to go, but that doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s not going to be moved here before the deadline,\u201d Johnston said on Insider Trading.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s still lots of time, and I think he\u2019s inclined to wait to see if perhaps some other teams step up and try to make a deal with the Canucks. The Stars, for example, are a team that are known to have some interest in him, and I believe he\u2019d like to play there if that could work out.<\/p>\n \u201cReally, the onus is on the Canucks right now to come up with something to get him to waive that no-movement clause. In the meantime, it\u2019s a waiting game.\u201d<\/p>\n The Canucks sit last in the NHL with an 18-33-7 record and are on track to miss the playoffs for the fifth time in the past six seasons under first-year head coach Adam Foote<\/a> this year. <\/p>\n All quiet on Binnington?<\/p>\n While Jordan Binnington<\/a> impressed while in net for Team Canada at the Olympics, it appears the trade market remains quiet for the goaltender who has struggled with the St. Louis Blues<\/a> this season.<\/p>\n Binnington cemented his status as a \u201cbig-game player\u201d in Italy as he backstopped Canada to a silver medal. He went 4-1 at the tournament, posting a .917 save percentage and a 1.78 goals-against average. He turned aside 26 of the 28 shots he faced in the gold-medal game, with Jack Hughes<\/a> beating him in overtime to secure the victory for Team USA.<\/p>\n The 32-year-old, however, has struggled with the St. Louis Blues<\/a> this season, going 8-17-6 with an .864 save percentage and 3.65 goals-against average. He remains signed through next season at a cap hit of $6 million.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s not a lot of activity around Jordan Binnington<\/a>, which is a little bit surprising, given his status and what he was able to get done at the Olympics,\u201d Dreger said while discussing the state of the Blues ahead of the deadline.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m looking at captain Brayden Schenn<\/a>. It seems like his name is out there on an annual basis. He doesn\u2019t necessarily have the stomach for a rebuild. Could he be a fit? But, there\u2019s a lot of traction around veteran defenceman Justin Faulk<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNow, if Myers gets dealt by the Canucks, then you\u2019re looking at Faulk and then maybe Rasmus Ristolainen<\/a> from the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> as the most available right-shot defenceman.\u201d<\/p>\n Schenn\u2019s name was thrown around a lot at last year\u2019s deadline before the Blues eventually elected to hold on to him and for their own playoff push. The 34-year-old centre 12 goals and 24 points in 58 games this season. He remains signed through the 2027-28 campaign at a cap hit of $6.5 million.<\/p>\n Faulk is enjoying a bounce-back season after two quiet years offensively with 11 goals and 32 points in 58 games this season. He is signed through next season at an identical cap hit to Schenn at $6.5 million.<\/p>\n The 33-year-old blueliner acknowledged to the St. Louis Post Dispatch this week that his if fully aware his name his out there.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, I\u2019ve been traded, so it makes it a lot easier,\u201d Faulk said. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t really matter. There\u2019s nothing I can do. Everyone knows what luxuries I might be provided in my contract at times, but it\u2019s out of my control in a sense. It always is. Whether there\u2019s chatter or not, I don\u2019t like to think too much about it because it can happen or it might not, so what\u2019s the point of wasting your time with it?<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no other way for me to really say because if it doesn\u2019t happen, what was the point of thinking about it the whole time? If it does happen, what\u2019s the point? Because you probably don\u2019t know where it\u2019s going to be or anything like that.\u201d<\/p>\n The Blues surged into the playoffs last year with a strong second half of their season.
