Nashville Predators<\/a> star centre Steven Stamkos<\/a> has refuted reports that he would be willing to waive his no-movement clause, stating that he \u201cloves\u201d being in Nashville.<\/p>\n

It was reported on Insider Trading on Thursday that Stamkos has three teams on his list, should Predators management decide to move on from the two-time Stanley Cup champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cStamkos has a full no-move clause,\u201d TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reported on Thursday. \u201cHe controls his fate here and he\u2019s not asking out. He\u2019s happy in Nashville. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut in preparation for if Predators management go to him before next Friday and say, we\u2019ve got some offers on the table, I\u2019m told that Stamkos and his camp have prepared themselves. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve prepared themselves by coming up with a list of preferred destinations. I\u2019m told that list is topped by the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a>, and then the Dallas Stars<\/a>, and then the Minnesota Wild<\/a>, are the three teams on that list.”<\/p>\n

Stamkos addressed those reports on Friday, stating that \u201cI haven\u2019t talked to [general manager Barry Trotz] at all about that,\u201d per Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously there\u2019s stuff that gets reported,\u201d Stamkos continued. \u201cBut what I\u2019ll say, with this group, we want to be together. I can only control what I can control, but I love being here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stamkos, who has 29 goals and 45 points in 58 games this season, could be a high-value target for teams seeking forward help ahead of next Friday\u2019s trade deadline. He ranks No. 15 on TSN\u2019s newest Trade Bait board<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Stamkos is a two-time All-Star, a two-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner and won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a> from 2019-21.<\/p>\n
