Vancouver Canucks<\/a> defenceman Tyler Myers<\/a> is expected to make the trip to Seattle for Saturday\u2019s game against the Kraken, according to TSN\u2019s Farhan Lalji.<\/p>\n

This comes after Myers sat out Wednesday night against the Winnipeg Jets<\/a> for trade related reasons amid ongoing trade talks. He last played on Feb. 4, prior to the Olympic break.<\/p>\n

With a full no-move clause, Myers controls his destiny and it appears he is not interested in waiving it for a move to the Detroit Red Wings<\/a>, who TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported Thursday<\/a> made an offer to the Canucks this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think at this point in time, (Detroit is) not necessarily a place that Myers is looking to go, but that doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s not going to be moved here before the deadline,\u201d TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston divulged later in the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s still lots of time, and I think he\u2019s inclined to wait to see if perhaps some other teams step up and try to make a deal with the Canucks. The Stars, for example, are a team that are known to have some interest in him, and I believe he\u2019d like to play there if that could work out.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally, the onus is on the Canucks right now to come up with something to get him to waive that no-movement clause. In the meantime, it\u2019s a waiting game.\u201d<\/p>\n

TSN\u2019s Ryan Rishaug reported Thursday<\/a> the Edmonton Oilers<\/a> are not among the suitors for Myers. <\/p>\n

Myers has appeared in 57 games this season for the Canucks and has a goal with seven assists.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old is in his seventh season with Vancouver after joining the team as a free agent in 2019 and is currently playing on a three-year deal that carries a $3 million AAV and expires after the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n

The veteran blueliner\u2019s no-movement clause will convert to a 12-team no-trade list this summer.<\/p>\n
