Ohio University student makes shot to win $10,000 at Columbus Blue Jackets game<\/p>\n

An Ohio University student who attended the Blue Jackets’ game Feb. 28 at Nationwide Arena left $10,000 richer after hitting a remarkable shot during an intermission contest.<\/p>\n

At the start of the second intermission, Grant Reeves was brought onto the ice to take part in the Fanatics Fan Cash On-Ice Shot contest. He proceeded to bury his shot from center ice into a small rectangular opening cut out of a plywood covering placed in front of the net.<\/p>\n

The prize was $10,000 for Reeves, who was cheered loudly by those who stuck around their seats to watch among a sellout crowd of 18,925 who attended a game the Blue Jackets lost in overtime.<\/p>\n
