As trade deadline week is fully upon us, one deal that was thought to be decided upon by the end of the weekend did not take place. Tyler Myers was held out of the Vancouver Canucks<\/a> lineup last Wednesday night for trade-related purposes<\/a>, and again on Saturday night. But he has still not made up his mind on how to go forward.<\/p>\n

He came into the season wanting to stay in Vancouver for the year, but things might be moving in a different direction.<\/p>\n

Reports had the Detroit Red Wings with an offer on the table for Myers, but the veteran d-man with the no-move clause wasn’t keen on moving his family there. He continues to ponder other trade options that have been presented as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I believe the Myers camp is also waiting to see if there are any other options before deciding.<\/p>\n

Insider Elliotte Friedman reported today<\/a> that we could see a resolution within 24-48 hours.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, insider Frank Seravalli<\/a> suggested that Myers might be softening his stance a bit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Defenseman\u00a0Tyler Myers\u00a0seems to be warming to the notion of moving his family. Sources indicate Detroit, Dallas and Anaheim are the most interested parties and Myers appears to be partial to Dallas if the two teams can make a deal work.<\/p>\n

Will the 6’8″ veteran go with Dallas?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The player is remaining patient, and we’ll have to see how the week unfolds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old is in his 17th NHL season and his 7th with the Canucks, and was hoping to finish his career in Vancouver.<\/p>\n

He has eight points in 57 games this year and a plus\/minus rating of -25 on the woeful last-place team.<\/p>\n

The Canucks, of course, have several other irons in the fire leading up to the deadline, and Vancouver will be a busy place over the next few days, one way or another.\u00a0<\/p>\n
