Team USA hockey star Brady Tkachuk<\/a> addressed haters who have theorized he might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.<\/p>\n

On their \u201cWingmen\u201d<\/a> podcast, Brady, 26, and his brother, Matthew Tkachuk, discussed the importance of scoring the first goal in a do-or-die game, as the Americans did when they defeated Canada to win gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The brothers were told, \u201cIn NHL history, the team that scores first in Game 7 has the dominant winning record of 150-50.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSixty-six percent,\u201d Brady said quickly in the Thursday, February 26, episode, clearly proud of himself. He continued, \u201cThat\u2019s good math, too. That\u2019s for the people that say I can\u2019t read. That\u2019s for you. Go eff yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTeam USA hero Jack Hughes addressed the backlash he\u2019s faced after laughing at President Donald Trump\u2019s joke about the Team USA women\u2019s hockey team. \u201cYou\u2019re in the moment, the president calls,\u201d Hughes, 24, told reporters on Wednesday, February 25. \u201cWe\u2019re blaring the music and then they pause the music and then the president calls. Brady\u2019s excitement was short-lived, however, when Matthew, 28, told him he was, in fact, wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want me to completely ruin your math and your confidence right now, what\u2019s 50 plus 150?\u201d Matthew said, explaining that the correct answer was actually 75 percent.<\/p>\n

\u201cF***! 75! F***!\u201d Brady said, flipping off the camera.<\/p>\n

Brady has been busy since returning home from Italy, which has involved clearing up multiple controversies coming out of the Olympics.<\/p>\n

The Ottawa Senators star was forced to address an AI-doctored video<\/a> posted by the White House\u2019s official TikTok account, in which Brady appeared to say about Canada, \u201cThey booed our national anthem, so I had to come out and teach those maple syrup-eating f***s a lesson.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it\u2019s clearly fake, because it\u2019s not my voice, not my lips moving,\u201d Brady told reporters on February 26. \u201cI\u2019m not in control of any of those accounts. I know that those words would never come out of my mouth. So, I can\u2019t do anything about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s not my voice. It\u2019s not what I was saying. I would never say that. That\u2019s not who I am, so I guess I don\u2019t like that video because that would never come out of my mouth, and [I] never had that thought.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brady also denied the rumor that he joked about closing the Canadian border<\/a> during a locker room phone call with President Donald Trump after the Americans won the gold medal game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been seeing stuff that people think it\u2019s me,\u201d Brady said on Thursday. \u201cBut if you watch the video, that\u2019s not my voice. It\u2019s something that I\u2019d never say.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI don\u2019t know how that took a storm on its own when I give everything I have here.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Tkachuk brothers and their Team USA teammates have faced backlash for laughing at a joke made by Trump during the locker room phone call, when the president said he would \u201cprobably be impeached\u201d if he didn\u2019t invite the Team USA women\u2019s hockey team to the White House. (The women\u2019s team also defeated Canada to win gold at the 2026 Olympics.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really have an answer. It\u2019s a whirlwind of a moment,\u201d Brady said on Thursday. \u201cYou can\u2019t control what somebody says. I guess [we] got caught off guard a little bit. You\u2019re talking to the president 10 minutes after you achieve your dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI mean, I get it. We support them, they support us. You can\u2019t control what other people say.
