It’s the third of four meetings between the two Central Division foes in the 2025-26 season.

Winnipeg emerged victorious in the first matchup on Oct. 30, defeating the Blackhawks 6-3 at Canada Life Centre. However, the Blackhawks got their revenge with a 2-0 win on Jan. 19, which was also Jonathan Toews’ first trip back to the United Center as a visiting player. Jason Dickinson and Connor Bedard (EN) were the two goal scorers for Chicago, while Spencer Knight stopped all 32 shots faced for his third shutout of the season.

Last time out, the Blackhawks earned the first win of their post-Olympic schedule, besting the Utah Mammoth 4-0 on Sunday. Teuvo Teravainen scored a power-play and a short-handed goal, while Nick Foligno and Landon Slaggert also scored from down on the fourth line. Arvid Soderblom stopped all 22 shots to earn his first NHL shutout in his 94th career start.

The Jets are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss on the road to the San Jose Sharks in their most recent appearance on Sunday. Morgan Barron kicked off the scoring less than three minutes into the game, but the Sharks shut them down the rest of the way. Will Smith scored early in the third period to tie the game 1-1, and then rookie Michael Misa netted the overtime-winner.

With 56 points through 59 games, Winnipeg currently sits one point ahead of the Blackhawks in the Western Conference standings and is 10 points behind the Edmonton Oilers for the final Wild Card playoff spot. Tuesday marks the beginning of an eight-game homestand for the Jets, which should slightly help their cause. Additionally, ten of their next 13 games will be played at home.

Here’s everything else to note before the puck drops at 7:00 p.m. CT in Winnipeg.

Blackhawks Projected Lineup

Forward Lines

Ryan Greene — Connor Bedard – Andre Burakovsky

Ryan Donato — Frank Nazar — Teuvo Teravainen

Tyler Bertuzzi — Jason Dickinson — Ilya Mikheyev

Nick Foligno — Oliver Moore — Landon Slaggert

Defensive Pairings

Alex Vlasic-Louis Crevier

Matt Grzelcyk-Artyom Levshunov

Kevin Korchinski*-Sam Rinzel

Scratched

F — Colton Dach, D — Ethan Del Mastro*, F — Sam Lafferty

Injured

D — Wyatt Kaiser (lower body)

***

The Blackhawks recalled Ethan Del Mastro from the Rockford IceHogs on Tuesday morning.
