Miller injured as they prep for NHL trade deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ahead of a stretch where the Rangers\u2019 roster could keep changing ahead of the trade deadline, they also lost their captain again.<\/p>\n<p>J.T. Miller is going on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, according to The Post\u2019s Mollie Walker. It\u2019s a different injury from the one that forced him to miss time at two other points during the season. He also missed seven games while on injured reserve from late December into early January. <\/p>\n<p>Miller is required to spend at least seven days on injured reserve.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"38662585\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/j-t-miller-8-new-122636704.jpg\" alt=\"Rangers forward J.T. NHLI via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear when the injury occurred during <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/02\/sports\/rangers-comeback-falls-short-in-gutting-ot-loss-to-blue-jackets\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Rangers\u2019 5-4 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets<\/a> on Monday, with Miller skating all the way through overtime, collecting an assist and even talking with reporters afterward.
