{"id":484008,"date":"2026-03-04T03:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T03:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/484008\/"},"modified":"2026-03-04T03:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T03:04:11","slug":"uconn-advances-to-hockey-east-womens-championship-with-6-1-win-over-holy-cross","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/484008\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn advances to Hockey East women&#8217;s championship with 6-1 win over Holy Cross"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>STORRS \u2014 For the second\u00a0straight game six different UConn players scored as the\u00a0Huskies overwhelmed Holy Cross 6-1 on Tuesday night at the Toscano Family Ice Forum to advance to the Hockey East women\u2019s championship game.<\/p>\n<p>The Huskies\u2019 semifinal win was an offensive repeat of a 6-1 quarterfinal win over Maine in which six players scored goals.<\/p>\n<p>UConn (26-8-2) advances to play at top-seeded Northeastern on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for the conference championship. Northeastern advanced with a 3-1 win over Vermont.<\/p>\n<p>Kyla Josifovic opened the scoring for UConn with a power-play goal at 11:15 of the first period. Violet Carroll tied the score for the Crusaders at 18:21 and the opening period ended in a 1-1 tie.<\/p>\n<p>Julia Pellerin scored what turned out to be the winning goal at 3:49 of the second.
