In a new episode of the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast, former NHL player Keith Yandle floated an idea:<\/p>\n

What if the Dallas Stars<\/a> and Ottawa Senators<\/a> connected on a trade of Jason Robertson for Brady Tkachuk?<\/p>\n

First problem: Yandle kept calling Robertson “Robinson.”<\/p>\n

OK past that, what does this feel like?<\/p>\n

It’d be one smooth scoring player in Robertson for another strong scorer who also packs a lot more physicality in Tkachuk.<\/p>\n

It feels like probably a win for the Stars, if it was just 1-for-1.<\/p>\n

The other problem here appears to be that there is no other noise on a trade like this anywhere.<\/p>\n

That’s not to say Yandle couldn’t be in the know. He very much could.<\/p>\n

But it’d be a shocker if a trade like this actually came to fruition at this point.<\/p>\n

If the big-name insiders start hopping onto this bandwagon, too, then it could be different. But for now, these teams likely have other priorities before Friday’s NHL trade deadline.<\/p>\n
