{"id":490360,"date":"2026-03-07T02:55:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T02:55:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/490360\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T02:55:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T02:55:17","slug":"calgary-flames-acquire-ryan-strome-for-seventh-round-pick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/490360\/","title":{"rendered":"Calgary Flames acquire Ryan Strome for seventh-round pick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/anaheim-ducks\/24\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/anaheim-ducks\/24\" target=\"_blank\">Anaheim Ducks<\/a> have traded forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/ryan-strome\/8476458\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/ryan-strome\/8476458\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Strome<\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/calgary-flames\/20\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/calgary-flames\/20\" target=\"_blank\">Calgary Flames<\/a> in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Strome, 32, has struggled to stay in the Ducks\u2019 lineup this season, recording three goals and nine points in 33 games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 32-year-old posted 41 points exactly in each of the past three seasons with the Ducks, having joined the team as a free agent in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 6-foot-1 centre is on the fourth season of a five-year, $25 million contract that carries an annual cap hit of $5 million.
