The Carolina Hurricanes had a convincing 2-0 lead in Game 4, hoping to tie the series against the Boston Bruins at two games apiece. However, four goals by the Bruins in seven minutes of the last period of regulation play proved otherwise. Thus, the Canes found themselves down in a 3-1 series hole.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to start fresh,\u201d said Brind\u2019Amour Tuesday afternoon after practice. \u201cWe\u2019re the team with their backs against the wall. We have nothing to lose at this point, so we want to make sure we\u2019re going down giving it everything we have if that\u2019s what ends up happening, but certainly I want to see us play a 60-minute game.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the mentality of Tuesday\u2019s practice was geared to turning the page.<\/p>\n

\u201cTry to really just ooze a little joy and have some fun,\u201d said Brind\u2019Amour. \u201cIt\u2019s been a tough day and it was a tough night. That day\u2019s long gone now and we need to remember this is a game and you got to have some fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hurricanes Know Bruins Are Gaining Momentum<\/p>\n

Despite losing Tuukka Rask, who decided to opt out of the Stanley Cup Finals bubble,<\/a> and not having their top goal scorer in David Pastrnak in the lineup<\/a>, the Bruins have found a way to come out on top.<\/p>\n

Brind\u2019Amour and his team are not worried about the momentum gained from Boston, and that every day is a new day.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet together and not focus too much on the past, said Brind\u2019Amour. \u201cJust get all the negativity out of there. Tomorrow you got to go win a game. That\u2019s the focus.\u201d<\/p>\n

To take it one game at a time appears to be the mentality of the Hurricanes going into Game 5<\/a>. Carolina knows they can not win the series in one game. They will need to swing the momentum to force a Game 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t win three games tomorrow,\u201d said Brind\u2019Amour \u201cYou got to win one and see what happens from there. I thought the guys picked up their chins off the ground, worked hard and now we\u2019re ready to go for tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
