BOSTON \u2014 The San Jose Sharks lost their third straight game overall with their 6-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Now practicing in Boston, there were missing players from Wednesday\u2019s skate. Forwards William Eklund<\/a> and Macklin Celebrini<\/a> were not participating. Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky<\/a> confirmed after practice that Celebrini will play against the Boston Bruins, as Celebrini had taken the day off.<\/p>\n

The same can\u2019t be said for Eklund, as Warsofsky told SHD that the San Jose Sharks winger is questionable due to a lower-body injury.<\/p>\n

Eklund is questionable for tomorrow. Lower-body injury. <\/p>\n

Celebrini will play. Just maintenance day for him. #SJSharks<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s probably questionable for tomorrow,\u201d Warsofsky said. \u201cLower-body.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sharks coach didn\u2019t explain where Eklund could have suffered the injury.<\/p>\n

With Celebrini and Eklund not skating, the lines looked a little different. Philipp Kurashev<\/a> took over Celebrini\u2019s spot while Adam Gaudette<\/a> moved into Kurashev\u2019s. Pavol Regenda<\/a>, who has been a healthy scratch the past four games, took Eklund\u2019s spot.<\/p>\n

Macklin Celebrini spoke to a gaggle of reporters after practice was completed. The 2024 NHL Draft No. 1 pick attended Boston University and will watch his brother<\/a>, Aiden, play for them tonight.<\/p>\n

Tonight is the first round of the Hockey East Playoffs. San Jose Sharks prospect Brandon Svoboda<\/a> will also play for BU, as they take on Vermont University.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, just great memories. [It was] great playing with my brother there,\u201d Celebrini said. \u201cI met a lot of friends that I\u2019ll probably have for the rest of my life. It was just a really special time.\u201d<\/p>\n
