On Wednesday, the Red Wings summoned forwards John Leonard, Sheldon Dries, and Eduards Tralmaks from the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins<\/a>\u00a0on emergency recall. Panthers center and former Red Wings player Tomas Nosek fell on Copp\u2019s lower left leg when the two players got tangled up at a faceoff.<\/p>\n \u201cDoubtful for Tampa Bay,\u201d Red Wings coach Todd McLellan<\/a> said of Copp\u2019s status.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know we lost (forward Micahel Brandsegg-)Nygard for half a period too. I don\u2019t know if you guys noticed that.\u201d<\/p>\n People did, Todd. And now they are rightfully wondering about his status for Thursday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n Brandsegg-Nygard was playing his first game since being recalled from GR. He missed most of the second period of the loss to Florida with an undisclosed injury.<\/p>\n Detroit was leading the Panthers 3-2 with 90 seconds to play. Carter Verhaeghe scored twice, the second one coming with 14 seconds left in regulation, to rally Florida to a 4-3 win.<\/p>\n \u201cWe got a job to do and the first thing we have to do is recover from this loss and then we have to figure out how to plug some holes,\u201d McLellan told reporters after the loss. \u201cWe gotta get some bodies here.\u201d<\/p>\n Leonard Previously Played For Red Wings<\/p>\n Of the three players getting the call to the show, Leonard<\/a> is the only one who\u2019s previously been with the Red Wings. He scored two goals during a nine-game stint earlier this season. He\u2019s tallied 27 times for Grand Rapids.<\/p>\n While he\u2019s been on the Detroit roster a couple of times before, Dries<\/a> has never gotten into a Red Wings game. He\u2019ll likely fill the fourth-line center role in Thursday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n Tralmaks would be making his NHL debut if he suits up on Thursday. The leading goal scorer for Latvia<\/a> at the Winter Olympics, he\u2019s netted 18 goals for the Griffins.<\/p>\n The moves mean that the top five goal scorers for the AHL Griffins are now with the Red Wings.
