Way over.<\/p>\n<p>Judge\u2019s one-of-one 2013 Bowman Chrome Draft Pick Autographs Superfractor sold for an eye-popping $5.2 million through a private sale brokered by Fanatics Collect, the auction house announced Thursday. This is the highest publicly known sale of a modern baseball card ever, topping the $3.84 million paid for Mike Trout\u2019s 2009 Bowman Chrome Prospects autographed Superfractor in 2020. And what about Shohei Ohtani? His highest sale is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6899367\/2025\/12\/19\/shohei-ohtani-record-card-sale-dodgers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$3 million<\/a>, which occurred in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Judge card last sold for $324,000 through a Fanatics Premier auction in May 2022. Before Thursday, that sale was the New York Yankees outfielder\u2019s most expensive, according to card sales database Card Ladder. This latest transaction is tied for the seventh-highest publicly known sale across all sports cards.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-7110039\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Aaron-Judge-Superfractor.jpeg\" alt=\"Aaron Judge 2013 Bowman Chrome Draft Pick Autographs Superfractor\" width=\"412\" height=\"622\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\n      Photo courtesy of Fanatics Collect<\/p>\n<p>Neither the buyer nor the seller has made their identities publicly known yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly honored to have brokered this record-breaking deal \u2014 and to be part of such a momentous moment in hobby history,\u201d Fanatics Collect said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Judge\u2019s first baseball cards as a pro appeared in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.com\/sch\/i.html?_nkw=2013+bowman+sealed&amp;_sacat=0&amp;_from=R40&amp;_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&amp;_odkw=aaron+judge&amp;_osacat=0&amp;mkcid=1&amp;mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&amp;siteid=0&amp;campid=5339067567&amp;customid=2013bowman&amp;toolid=10001&amp;mkevt=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">2013 Bowman sets<\/a>, four years before his official rookie cards (produced once he reached the majors) landed. Although such cards usually carry a version of the \u201c1st Bowman\u201d branding, 2013 was the last year that it wasn\u2019t used. Collectors view 1st Bowman cards as particularly valuable, often more so than a player\u2019s rookie card.<\/p>\n<p>Another Judge card up for auction would\u2019ve become his most expensive card ever, and still might compete even with the new record.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 Topps MVP Gold Logoman one-of-a-kind autographed card of Judge and Ohtani hit the auction block last week through Fanatics Collect. It features the special gold MLB logo patches from jerseys worn by each reigning MVP. As of Thursday morning, bidding has reached $1.2 million. Rohlich agreed to visit his home to take a look. After making a deal on some vintage cards, the collector said he had some modern cards he\u2019d like Rohlich to view, too. Rohlich admitted he isn\u2019t a \u201cmodern (card) guy\u201d but agreed to check them out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first card he pulled out was the Judge 1\/1,\u201d Rohlich <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DVPRc4PkeqD\/?igsh=ZTFjemIzY3hsZzhn&amp;img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">wrote on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cMy jaw hit the floor as even I knew what I was looking at! He said he couldn\u2019t find comps but believe it to be a $10-$15k card. I asked if he would take $25k cash for the card.
