{"id":501336,"date":"2026-03-13T13:52:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T13:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/501336\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T13:52:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T13:52:31","slug":"bruins-home-win-streak-ends-at-13-with-loss-to-sharks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/501336\/","title":{"rendered":"Bruins Home Win Streak Ends at 13 with Loss to Sharks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOSTON \u2013 The Boston Bruins (36-23-6) lost on home ice for the first time since December 23, 2025, falling 4-2 to the San Jose Sharks (31-26-6) on Thursday night at the TD Garden.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/fraser-minten\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fraser Minten<\/a> (15) and <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/david-pastrnak\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Pastrnak<\/a> (24) scored the Bruins\u2019 goals, but both came after the Sharks finished scoring.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/jeremy-swayman\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremy Swayman<\/a> made 24 saves, while <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/alex-nedeljkovic\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Nedeljkovic<\/a> made 39 on the Sharks\u2019 side of the ice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Sharks started the game with an early goal. <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/michael-misa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Misa<\/a> scored at the 5:57 mark of the first period off a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SanJoseSharks\/status\/2032236281095434330?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">behind-the-back pass<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/william-eklund\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">William Eklund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Bruins poured 14 shots on Nedeljkovic in the first, including three on their lone power play opportunity. He stopped all of them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Sharks\u2019 power play converted in the second period, adding another goal to their lead. Former Boston University Terrier <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/macklin-celebrini\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Macklin Celebrini<\/a> directed a shot off Swayman. The puck bounced off <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/tyler-toffoli\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Toffoli<\/a> and landed in the goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Sharks carried a two-goal lead into the final frame and added to it quickly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln, MA native <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/collin-graf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Collin Graf<\/a> scored 3:13 into the third period. His <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SanJoseSharks\/status\/2032262281363669034?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">goal<\/a> came shorthanded while on a breakaway.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Steve Spott\u2019s power play finished 0-for-2 on Thursday night. Since the Olympic break, they are now 4-for-28 on the man-advantage. They have also allowed two shorthanded goals in that span, including Graf\u2019s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Five minutes later, William Eklund scored to make it 4-0. He <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SanJoseSharks\/status\/2032264967462994192?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">batted his rebound<\/a> out of the air to beat Swayman.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fraser Minten was able to beat Alex Nedeljkovic just 10 seconds after the fourth Sharks goal, finally breaking through after the Bruins\u2019 first 33 shots were stopped.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While fending off <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/dmitry-orlov\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dmitry Orlov<\/a>, Minten <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PeterTenkrat\/status\/2032264416515797001?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">drove a shot<\/a> through the pads of Nedeljkovic to get the Bruins on the scoresheet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the final minute and with the Bruins\u2019 net empty, David Pastrnak, <a href=\"https:\/\/bostonhockeynow.com\/bruins-game-65-notes-lines-watch-sharks\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"29319\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">who welcomed a daughter this morning<\/a>, connected on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PeterTenkrat\/status\/2032269675829031363?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">a slapshot<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/charlie-mcavoy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charlie McAvoy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the late push came up short.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The game ended with a scrum after Charlie McAvoy hit <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/kiefer-sherwood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kiefer Sherwood<\/a> up high. The hit drew a reaction, and three players were ejected (David Pastrnak, Sherwood, and <a href=\"http:\/\/puckpedia.com\/player\/vincent-desharnais\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vincent Desharnais<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Bruins now head on the road for their next three games.
