The Edmonton Oilers<\/a> played another game on the road on Thursday night against the Dallas Stars.<\/a> Edmonton goalie Tristan Jarry<\/a> made another start in net. He gave up seven goals on 27 shots in a 7-2 Stars win over the Oilers.<\/p>\n

Jarry has not played well since being traded from the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> to Edmonton. It was a big mistake to trade away Skinner for Jarry. The Oilers defense has been bad, but Skinner was able to stop shots and Jarry hasn’t been able to. Skinner has not been perfect with the Penguins, but he is a much better goalie than Jarry is.<\/p>\n

This season, he has played in 29 total games. Jarry has a 16-9-2 record with a .883 save percentage and a 3.39 GAA, along with two shutouts. He will have a couple of years remaining on his contract after the 2025-2026 NHL<\/a> season. However, it might be time for the Oilers to not play Jarry anymore because he is simply just not a good goalie.<\/p>\n

There are a lot of Oilers fans who are over the Jarry experiment. He has been worse than Skinner has. One Edmonton fan said<\/a>, “Tristan jarry can’t stop a beachball lol.” There are a lot of fans who joke about him not being able to stop a beachball.<\/p>\n

Another fan believes that trading for him for a massive mistake. This fan said<\/a>, “I think their mistake was acquiring Tristan Jarry and thinking that would fix their goaltending problems. Wouldn\u2019t say this is the most shocking outcome.”<\/p>\n

They made it to the Stanley Cup Finals with Skinner in net, but Jarry is not even capable of playing in a playoff game for the Oilers. Another Edmonton fan posted an alarming stat and said<\/a>, “Good morning Oiler fans, Tristan Jarry gave up 7 goals last night. It was the 35th time of his nhl career giving up 5 or more goals. For the record, Stu Skinner has never given up 7 goals in an NHL game.”<\/p>\n

The Penguins waived Jarry last season. Is there a chance that Edmonton can do the same this season? Connor Ingram is Edmonton’s backup goalie at the moment. They have no choice to but to start him moving forward. Jarry is 30 years old and is becoming unplayable in the NHL.<\/p>\n
