As a sophomore, Hutson ranked tied for fifth among NCAA defensemen in scoring at his season\u2019s end and was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star for the second straight season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The brother of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/montreal-canadiens\/8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/montreal-canadiens\/8\" target=\"_blank\">Montreal Canadiens<\/a> star defenceman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/lane-hutson\/8483457\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/lane-hutson\/8483457\" target=\"_blank\">Lane Hutson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/edmonton-oilers\/22\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/edmonton-oilers\/22\" target=\"_blank\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a> winger Lars Hutson, Cole made a name for himself playing for the United States at the World Juniors each of the past two tournaments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Hutson served as an alternate captain for the Americans at the 2026 tournament and recorded four points in three games. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">At the 2025 World Juniors, Hutson helped lead Team USA to a gold medal and finished as the tournament\u2019s leader in points (11) and plus-minus (+11).
