Edmonton Oilers<\/a> star centre Leon Draisaitl<\/a> did not attend Monday\u2019s practice, a day after leaving Sunday\u2019s 3-1 win against the Nashville Predators<\/a> with an injury. <\/p>\n

Head coach Kris Knoblauch told the media that Draisaitl was attending his doctor\u2019s appointment during the practice, but didn\u2019t have a firm update on how many games the German superstar will miss. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think there will be some time without him,\u201d Knoblauch said. \u201cNot sure if it\u2019s one, two [games] or how long it\u2019s going to be, but I don\u2019t have much information right now.\u201d <\/p>\n

Samanski between Podkolzin and Kapanen at skate today with Draisaitl not out here. Savoie remains on McDavids wing, and the RNH Dickinson Roslovic trio together.<\/p>\n

The 33-26-9 Oilers currently hold the third playoff spot in the Pacific Division, four points head of the Seattle Kraken<\/a> and five points better than the San Jose Sharks<\/a> will are in Edmonton on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Draisaitl, 30, appeared to be shaken up following a collision with Predators second-year forward Ozzy Wiesblatt<\/a> during the opening frame.<\/p>\n

Wiesblatt caught the Oilers star at an awkward angle just in front of Nashville\u2019s bench, with Draisaitl skating away gingerly following the hit.<\/p>\n

Draisaitl would head down the tunnel the locker room and returned for one shift before the end of the period, but did not come back out with the team for the start of the second.<\/p>\n

The Cologne, Germany native scored the opening marker on the power play just over three minutes into the game before departing.<\/p>\n

In 65 games played this season, the 2019-20 Hart Trophy winner has recorded 35 goals and 62 assists for 97 points, good for second on the Oilers behind Connor McDavid<\/a>\u2019s total of 116.<\/p>\n
