The Flyers signed another one of their college forwards Tuesday as they inked Cole Knuble to his two-year entry-level contract.<\/p>\n

The deal starts next season, but Knuble will report to AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley for the rest of this season.<\/p>\n

Six days ago, the Flyers signed Noah Powell, one of their winger prospects who was playing at Arizona State<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Knuble, the son of former Flyer Mike Knuble, recently finished his third season at Notre Dame. In his career with the Fighting Irish, the 5-foot-10, 190-pounder put up 90 points (30 goals, 60 assists) over 106 games.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old is a winger, but he can play a little bit of center, too. The Flyers selected him in the fourth round of the 2023 draft after he vastly improved his skating.<\/p>\n

“He worked his ass off all summer, put weight on, got stronger and has become a good skater,” Flyers assistant general manager Brent Flahr said then at draft<\/a>. “It’s one of those lessons that sometimes you’ve got to take a chance on these guys if they’re just lacking some strength in their skating.”<\/p>\n

Last season, Knuble scored over a point per game with 12 goals and 27 assists in 34 contests. He had 108 shots and led Notre Dame with three game-winning goals.<\/p>\n

This season, his production took a hit on a Fighting Irish team that really struggled, going 9-23-5. Knuble finished with nine goals, 22 assists and 111 shots in 36 games.<\/p>\n
