(Photo by Nick Koon, Contributing Photographer)\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\" class=\"icon-enlarge mng-gallery-fullscreen-expand\" aria-label=\"Expand fullscreen slideshow\">Expand<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The venue at Ronald Reagan Sports Park had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressenterprise.com\/2025\/05\/07\/hockey-rink-at-temecula-sports-park-getting-a-nearly-3-million-update\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">been shut during a closure that started in early 2025<\/a> and cost about $4.1 million.<\/p>\n<p>But the rink has been back since a late December ribbon-cutting ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo just when you think life can\u2019t get any better in Temecula, it does,\u201d Temecula City Councilmember Zak Schwank told the crowd at the event.<\/p>\n<p>The venue now sports an upgraded playing surface, safety glass around the rink and a steel roof. There\u2019s also a new scoreboard, lighting, a drinking fountain, Wi-Fi access, storage areas, a fan system and improvements for those with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Now the rink that opened in the mid-1990s is again hosting youth games, tournaments and family recreation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Players were excited to get rolling again with games inside Temecula\u2019s refurbished roller hockey rink.
