Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old winger has a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/01\/15\/sports\/islanders-first-rounder-cole-eiserman-living-up-to-expectations-at-bu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:booming one-timer and high-end offensive ability;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">booming one-timer and high-end offensive ability<\/a>, but his NHL potential will boil down largely to whether he can commit himself defensively enough to earn the trust of coaches at the professional level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been there the last two years I think,\u201d Eiserman said after playing at Madison Square Garden over Thanksgiving weekend, a game attended by members of the Islanders front office. \u201cStill getting better at it but they let me play my game as well.
