{"id":525704,"date":"2026-03-27T13:04:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T13:04:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/525704\/"},"modified":"2026-03-27T13:04:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T13:04:13","slug":"boys-hockey-alexandria-nets-three-all-central-lakes-conference-hockey-team-members-alexandria-echo-press","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/525704\/","title":{"rendered":"Boys Hockey: Alexandria nets three all-Central Lakes Conference hockey team members &#8211; Alexandria Echo Press"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ALEXANDRIA \u2014 Several Alexandria boys hockey players garnered year-end recognition by the Central Lakes Conference for their seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Seniors Brody Berg, Nik Schultz and Connor Wang were named to the CLC all-conference team for their overall performance for the Cardinals, which finished in third place in the standings with a 6-5-1 record against conference teams as they navigated their first season in Class AA.<\/p>\n<p>On the top forward line, Berg was the top point-scorer for Alexandria this season, garnering 22 points in 26 games. He led the team in goal scoring with 12 tallies on the season, one of only two players on the roster to surpass 10 or more goals on the season. Berg recorded a hat trick on Dec. 29 against West Fargo Sheyenne (N.D.)<\/p>\n<p>Wang led all defensemen on the Cardinals with 15 points, which ranked fourth overall on the roster. He netted seven goals and eight assists in 25 games, tied for third and fourth overall on the roster, respectively. He recorded four goals and two assists over his last eight games of the season, including two goals against Detroit Lakes on Feb. 10.<\/p>\n<p>Schultz finished the year with the third-most assists on the team, tallying nine helpers to go with two goals as one of Alexandria\u2019s anchors on the defensive side of the ice. He recorded two assists in a win against Orono on Nov. 22 and picked up three helpers in the win against Sauk Rapids-Rice on Feb. 7.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the trio of all-conference players, seniors Aidan Schneiderhan and Evan Klimek, along with juniors William Thornburg and Grady Olson, garnered all-CLC honorable mentions.<\/p>\n<p>Klimek led Alexandria with 13 assists and was second only to Berg in points scored with 20, adding seven goals to his line in 26 games. He scored two goals in a game against St. Cloud Cathedral on Dec. 2, Fergus Falls on Jan. 13 and ROCORI\/River Lakes on Jan. 16, all resulting in Cardinals victories.<\/p>\n<p>Olson finished the season ranked third on the roster with seven goals and seventh in assists with seven. Schneiderhan helped predominantly on the defensive end of the ice, but still posted a goal and four assists in 26 games.<\/p>\n<p>Sartell\u2019s Devin Jacobs and Isaac Mentzer were named the conference\u2019s offensive and defensive players of the year, respectively, as the Sabres won the conference title after going undefeated against CLC teams. Detroit Lakes netminder Griffin Lindberg was named the conference goalie of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Final conference standings: 1. Sartell, 16 points (11-0); 2. Detroit Lakes, 12.5 (7-2-1); 3. Alexandria, 10.5 (6-5-1); 4. St. Cloud Crush, 9 (6-4); 5. Brainerd, 8 (5-6); 6. Sauk Rapids-Rice, 6 (4-5); 7. ROCORI\/River Lakes, 5 (4-7); 8. Fergus Falls, 3 (3-9); 9.
