Carrie Underwood<\/a> and her husband, Mike Fisher<\/a>, enjoyed a rare, goal-worthy date night<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Underwood, 43, and Fisher, 45, stepped out at the Nashville Predators\u2019 home hockey game against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, March 28. (The Canadiens won 4-1.)<\/p>\n

\u201cSmashville legends in the house tonight. Welcome back @mfisher1212 & @carrieunderwood!\u201d an Instagram post<\/a> from the Predators read, referring to Fisher\u2019s past tenure on the Nashville team.<\/p>\n

For the occasion, Underwood wore Fisher\u2019s No. 12 jersey with a pair of jeans. Fisher, for his part, opted for an olive button-up, khaki trousers and a camo baseball cap.<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s Saturday date night was a special homecoming for Fisher, who played pro hockey for the Predators from 2011 to 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the hardest decision I\u2019ve ever had to make, but I know I\u2019ve made the right one. I\u2019ve decided to retire from the NHL,\u201d Fisher, who was initially drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 1998, said in an August 2017 statement. \u201cI believe that this team, that this city, is going to win a championship, and I\u2019m going to be the biggest fan. No one will be happier than I will be to see it happen, because, these fans, they deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He walked back his retirement decision six months later with Underwood\u2019s support.<\/p>\n

\u201cCarrie asked me everyday what I was going to do and she was excited for me to come back,\u201d Fisher said in a January 2018 press conference of rejoining the Predators. \u201cI had the blessing of the family, [and] so felt good about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fisher officially hung up his skates in May 2018 after one final season with the Predators.<\/p>\n

Amid his pro hockey career, Fisher began dating country star Underwood in 2008. The couple tied the knot in 2010 before welcoming son Isaiah nearly four years later.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe makes me happy all day every day,\u201d Underwood exclusively told Us Weekly<\/a> in 2016 less than one year after giving birth to Isaiah. \u201cHe\u2019s adorable and he\u2019s smart and he\u2019s sweet. I am beyond lucky. I don\u2019t deserve him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Underwood and Fisher expanded their family<\/a> with son Jacob in 2019, shortly before their family of four took a step back from the spotlight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI kind of got to maybe get back to some of my roots by not being on stage for a minute,\u201d Underwood said during an Apple Music interview in 2020. \u201cI got to be outside so much and I got to work in the garden and just be a mom and be a wife and be at home. It\u2019s the most I\u2019ve been still in over 15 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
