The Vancouver Canucks are nearly done with what is arguably the most disappointing season in franchise history.<\/p>\n
With just 10 games remaining in the 2025-26 season heading into Monday, the Canucks have a woeful 21-42-8 record. Their .347 points percentage is worse than any other season in the franchise\u2019s 56-year history, save for expansion-era seasons in 1971-72 (.308) and 1972-73 (.340).<\/p>\n
What remains to be seen is what changes the organization will make for next season, and not just concerning the players on the ice.<\/p>\n
Fans and media have speculated about Adam Foote\u2019s future behind the bench<\/a>, but a report from Sportsnet\u2019s Nick Kypreos suggests that an even bigger change may be coming, in the general manager\u2019s chair.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are strong suggestions that change is coming, but to what extent remains unclear,\u201d Kypreos reported on Monday<\/a>, adding that \u201cthings remain fluid.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEither way, I hear GM Patrik Allvin doesn\u2019t expect to survive past this season,\u201d Kypreos said.<\/p>\n https:\/\/t.co\/qXut6yrsJS<\/a> pic.twitter.com\/SUeVRIEvsw<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Ryan Henderson (@RJHenderson7) March 30, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Allvin was hired by the Canucks on Jan. 26, 2022, less than seven weeks after Jim Rutherford took over as president of hockey operations.<\/p>\n They inherited a team in disarray, but one that had a number of good young players already in the lineup. Quinn Hughes was 22 and Elias Pettersson was 23.\u00a0Brock Boeser (24), Thatcher Demko (26), Bo Horvat (26), and J.T.
