The Avalanche haven\u2019t locked up the top seed in the playoffs just yet, but at some point, they likely will. They\u2019ve got the Canucks, Stars and Blues in their next three matchups. Their next game will be Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead to Avalanche tilt with Stars<\/p>\n
The Avalanche and Stars have had some close matchups as of late. Colorado is 1-2 in the series this season, with their lone win being a shootout thriller, when they won 5-4. In fact, every matchup this season has gone to a shootout. That\u2019s something I hope they avoid on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not particularly looking forward to the matchup against Jake Oettinger, as he stole the show, saving 33 of 34 shots by the Avalanche. If you are just a fan of good ol\u2019 hockey, you\u2019d love that performance. But if you are a fan of a game that the Avalanche put up on Monday night, you\u2019d be disappointed by that last matchup against Dallas.<\/p>\n
After missing close to two months with an injury, former Avalanche Mikko Rantanen rejoined his Stars team on Saturday against the Penguins. In the two games he\u2019s played since returning, he has a goal and an assist.<\/p>\n
