Sam \u200bMalinski and Artturi Lehkonen had a goal and an assist apiece for the Avalanche, who snapped a four-game \u200chome losing streak (0-3-1). Gabriel Landeskog added a goal.<\/p>\n<p>Colorado defenseman Cale Makar had three assists but didn\u2019t play in the third period due to an upper-body injury suffered late in the second. Brock Nelson contributed two helpers and Scott Wedgewood turned away 27 shots.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan Othmann and Ryan Strome scored for Calgary and Devin Cooley made 28 saves after replacing Dustin Wolf midway through the first period. With the second point of his three-point night, Celebrini became the sixth teenager in NHL history to register 100 points in a season.<\/p>\n<p>Theo Lindstein, Pavel Buchnevich, Philip Broberg and Cam Fowler tallied \u200bfor the Blues, who had their four-game winning streak end.<\/p>\n<p>Golden Knights 4, Canucks 2<\/p>\n<p>Reilly Smith scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period and Adin Hill made 22 saves as Vegas defeated Vancouver in John Tortorella\u2019s Golden Knights coaching \u2060debut in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Rasmus Andersson, Shea Theodore and Cole Smith also scored \u2060goals for Vegas, which snapped a three-game losing streak while winning for just the second time \u200bin eight games. Tortorella took over for Bruce Cassidy, who was fired on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Evander Kane, playing in his 1,000th NHL game, and \u200bBrock Boeser scored goals for the Canucks, who lost their sixth straight game. Kevin Lankinen finished \u200cwith 30 saves.<\/p>\n<p>Penguins 8, Islanders 3<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Mantha scored twice and added an assist and Pittsburgh produced a five-goal second period amid seven unanswered goals to claim a comeback victory over New York in Elmont, N.Y.<\/p>\n<p>Rickard Rakell scored twice, Bryan Rust posted one goal and one assist, and Elmer Soderblom, Ryan Shea and Avery Hayes also scored for the Penguins, who jumped over the Islanders for \u2060second place in the Metropolitan Division. Justin Brazeau notched three assists while Sidney Crosby collected two assists in his return after missing the previous game due to a lower-body injury.<\/p>\n<p>Mathew Barzal netted one goal and one assist while Anders Lee and Brayden Schenn \u2060both scored once for the Islanders. Adam \u200cBoqvist and Cal Ritchie both collected a pair of assists. New York\u2019s starting goalie, Ilya \u2060Sorokin, surrendered seven goals on 28 shots before being pulled.<\/p>\n<p>Maple Leafs 5, Ducks 4 (OT)<\/p>\n<p>John \u200bTavares capped a \u200ctwo-goal, one-assist night by scoring with five seconds left in overtime as visiting Toronto \u200bbested Anaheim in \u2060an entertaining though predictably physical clash.<\/p>\n<p>Tavares sealed the deal for the Maple Leafs with a tip on the doorstep off a low, quick feed from Morgan Rielly. William Nylander tallied four points on the night, including the tying goal halfway through the third period. Rielly had a goal and an assist, Matthew Knies added a goal and Easton Cowan and Oliver Ekman-Larsson each had two assists.<\/p>\n<p>Leo Carlsson scored twice for Anaheim, which has lost two in a row (0-1-1).
