{"id":533440,"date":"2026-03-31T20:31:24","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T20:31:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/533440\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T20:31:24","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T20:31:24","slug":"jim-nill-inks-2-year-contract-to-remain-stars-gm-wkzo-everything-kalamazoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/533440\/","title":{"rendered":"Jim Nill inks 2-year contract to remain Stars GM | WKZO | Everything Kalamazoo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Field Level Media<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill signed a two-year contract on Tuesday to remain with the \u200bteam.<\/p>\n<p>A recipient of the Jim Gregory \u200cGeneral Manager of the Year Award in each of the past three seasons, Nill is now under contract with the Stars through the 2027-28 season.<\/p>\n<p>Nill, \u200c67, \u200bhas served as Dallas\u2019 \u2060general manager since 2013. \u2060The Stars reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2020 and the Western Conference finals in each of the last three seasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m \u200bfortunate to work with incredibly talented and passionate individuals that have helped our \u2060franchise become one of \u2060the best in the NHL,\u201d Nill \u200bsaid. \u201cI\u2019m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to \u200bcontinue as general manager of the Stars. \u200cMy family and I would like to thank (Stars owner) Tom Gaglardi for his continued support as we look to bring the \u2060Stanley Cup back to Dallas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Stars (44-18-12, 100 points) reside in second place in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJim has \u2060established himself \u200cas one of the most \u2060respected general managers in the \u200bNHL,\u201d Gaglardi \u200csaid. \u201cThrough his roster management and \u200btalent evaluation, \u2060he has positioned our franchise to be amongst the best teams in our League in both the present and future.
