{"id":533923,"date":"2026-04-01T02:38:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T02:38:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/533923\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T02:38:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T02:38:18","slug":"blue-jackets-recall-luca-del-bel-belluz-pro-hockey-rumors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/533923\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue Jackets Recall Luca Del Bel Belluz \u2013 Pro Hockey Rumors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Columbus Blue Jackets <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BlueJacketsPR\/status\/2038742137806733717\" rel=\"nofollow\">announced<\/a> that they\u2019ve recalled forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/delbelu01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.prohockeyrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-03-30_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Luca Del Bel Belluz<\/a> from the AHL\u2019s Cleveland Monsters. Del Bel Belluz last played in the NHL with the Blue Jackets shortly before Christmas earlier this season.<\/p>\n<p>Del Bel Belluz, 22, has been an intriguing prospect in Columbus\u2019s system for a few years now. He\u2019s been an exceptional scorer at the AHL level with the Monsters, but has yet to put it together in hockey\u2019s top league.<\/p>\n<p>Since debuting in the professional ranks in the 2023-24 season, Del Bel Belluz has scored 58 goals and 141 points in 172 games for AHL Cleveland. That production hasn\u2019t been enough to warrant any awards or recognitions in the AHL, but he has essentially been a point-per-game player for the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>Given that production, it\u2019s fairly confusing why he hasn\u2019t gotten a longer opportunity at the NHL level, especially this year. Last season, Del Bel Belluz scored two goals and eight points in 15 games for the Blue Jackets, averaging 13:45 of ice time in a middle-six role.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it\u2019s not like Del Bel Belluz hasn\u2019t gotten any opportunities this year. Throughout the 2025-26 campaign, Del Bel Belluz has only tallied one assist in 12 games, averaging 8:46 of ice time on the team\u2019s fourth line. Del Bel Belluz has yet to play for the Blue Jackets under the tutelage of Rick Bowness.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s reason to believe that Del Bel Belluz will increase his point totals if he gets any significant ice time throughout his current call-up. Before the hiring of Bowness, Columbus averaged three goals per game.
