*Once again did the Flyers HAVE to win last night? No. Not technically. But it would\u2019ve both made a statement and made the road to the playoffs a little easier, so naturally they went out there and lost another game to another Metro Division rival. *Ahead of last night\u2019s game we speculated on a few ways Porter Martone could made an instant impact on his new team. In hindsight, how\u2019d we do? [BSH<\/a>]<\/p>\n

*Apparently Martone drew quite a crowd to the training facility on Monday for the optional morning skate. That\u2019s how you know people are excited. [NBC Sports Philly<\/a>]<\/p>\n

*Never forget, Porter is one of us. He\u2019s always been one of us. You\u2019re right to be excited. [Inquirer<\/a>]<\/p>\n

*The Flyers\u2019 newest winger got some time on the power play last night, as you\u2019d expect, but it\u2019s going to take more than one game for him to fix it. He might be able to fix it, though. [BSH<\/a>]<\/p>\n

*It was Martone\u2019s year in college that convinced the front office that he was going to make an immediate impact once he joined the team. One year was enough to get him cooked, it seems. [The Athletic<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Cam York is having a weird year \u2014 like if you think about Cam York\u2019s season, do you think it\u2019s been impressive?
