{"id":535444,"date":"2026-04-01T21:48:25","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T21:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/535444\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T21:48:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T21:48:25","slug":"oilers-sign-forward-william-nicholl-to-three-year-entry-level-contract-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/535444\/","title":{"rendered":"Oilers sign forward William Nicholl to three-year, entry-level contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EDMONTON \u2014 The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward William Nicholl to a three-year entry-level contract beginning next season, the NHL club announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholl had 15 goals and 11 assists over 32 games with the Ontario Hockey League&#8217;s London Knights this season after returning from injury on Dec. 31.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>The 19-year-old from Ottawa has 43 goals and 62 assists in 168 regular-season games over four with the Knights.<\/p>\n<p>He helped London win the Memorial Cup in last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Oilers selected Nicholl in the seventh round (196th overall) of the 2024 NHL draft.<\/p>\n<p>The Knights were down 3-0 in their first-round OHL playoff series against the Greyhounds heading into Wednesday&#8217;s Game 4 in Sault Ste.
