As for the rest of the Jets, defenseman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/player\/dylan-demelo-8476331\" title=\"Dylan DeMelo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dylan DeMelo<\/a>\u00a0said the break was, \u201creally big for our group.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust with how demanding the schedule has been physically, but honestly more so mentally. Your brain is going to tell you, \u2018you can\u2019t do it\u2019 before your body does. We were in a real tough grind there mentally, like I\u2019m sure a lot of teams were,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were able to attack it fresh. We changed a few things. I feel like that\u2019s been really implemented in our game and we have a little more speed in our game now. I feel like we\u2019re playing more as a five-man unit on the ice, and I feel like we\u2019re getting results because of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a long road for the Jets. The journey isn\u2019t done yet but if their current play keeps up, the postseason could beckon again.<\/p>\n<p>It won\u2019t be easy. Of their eight remaining games, only three are at home. All eight are against teams either in playoff position or in a dogfight for a spot, including the Stars on Thursday and at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just said to take care of our own business and that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re trying to do. We\u2019ve got ourselves here, but we can&#8217;t take our foot off the gas.
