They are 3-2-0 over the last five games, and 7-2-1 over the last 10. That hot streak has put them smack in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Detroit is another team that is in that hunt, but they have not had as much luck lately. They lost to the Flyers in their previous meeting, which kicked off a back-to-back losing streak for the Red Wings. They’ll be looking to get back in the win column after a loss to the Penguins on Tuesday. The Red Wings are struggling a bit, going 1-4-0 over the last five games, and 3-6-1 in the last 10.

The Flyers are adding some reinforcements to their lineup on Thursday. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. EST at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Here is how the Flyers are expected to line up.

Read More: Flyers’ Late Effort Falls Short, Drop Crucial Matchup vs. Capitals on Tuesday

Flyers lines & pairs vs. Red Wings

Forwards

Tyson Foerster–Trevor Zegras–Owen Tippett
Travis Konecny–Christian Dvorak–Porter Martone
Denver Barkey–Noah Cates–Matvei Michkov
Sean Couturier–Luke Glendening–Carl Grundstrom

Defensemen

Travis Sanheim–Rasmus Ristolainen
Cam York–Jamie Drysdale
Nick Seeler–Emil Andrae

Goaltenders

Sam Ersson
Dan Vladar

Special Teams
PP1: Ristolainen, Dvorak, Zegras, Foerster, Konecny
PP2: Drysdale, Cates, Tippett, Martone, Michkov

PK1: Cates, Couturier, York, Sanheim
PK 2: Dvorak, Tippett, Seeler, Ristolainen

Read More: Flyers Add More Firepower With Exciting Winger Returning from Injury

Game Notes

The big, unexpected news coming into Thursday’s game: Tyson Foerster is returning to the lineup. That is a huge addition to the Flyers’ lineup, which just added Porter Martone a few days ago. Foerster had not played since December 1st when he was injured shooting vs. the Penguins. It is an exciting return for the Flyers.

Sam Ersson gets the nod in goal on Thursday. He has been playing some unbelievably good hockey right now. Detroit saw Vladar just two games ago, and the Flyers kick off a back-to-back. Both goalies were bound to play. It’s Ersson’s net on Thursday.

The Flyers got some luck following their loss to Washington on Tuesday. While a win would have put the Flyers in a playoff position, the other teams’ losing meant no harm, no foul. The Red Wings were one of those teams. So, the Flyers still sit at 86 points along with the Red Wings and Senators. Thursday’s game is a big one for the Wild Card race.

Porter Martone made his debut on Tuesday and improved over time. There may have been some early adjustments, but as the game went on, he looked better and better. After playing a full game with Konecny and Dvorak, look for Martone to be even more comfortable on Thursday. I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if he gets his first NHL point.

How to Watch Flyers vs. Red Wings

TV: NBC Sports Philadelphia, ESPN+ (Stream)
Radio: 97.5 The Fanatic

Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. EST at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Read More: The Flyers’ Quiet Contributor to the Postseason Push

The Philadelphia Flyers (37-25-12) play their second game vs. the Detroit Red Wings (39-27-8) in four games on…

[5101
599,93,5137,36308,17561,54227,5,36214,4,56,3358,5138
0":"post-536842","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-detroit-red-wings","8":"tag-detroit","9":"tag-detroit-red-wings","10":"tag-detroitredwings","11":"tag-flyers-game","12":"tag-flyers-lines","13":"tag-flyers-starting-goalie","14":"tag-hockey","15":"tag-how-to-watch-flyers-game","16":"tag-nhl","17":"tag-philadelphia-flyers","18":"tag-red-wings","19":"tag-redwings
["GET
