It\u2019s the third and final meeting of the 2025-26 season between the two teams.<\/p>\n<p>The Oilers have claimed victory in both of the first two matchups, winning 3-2 in overtime at Rogers Place on Nov. 1 and 4-1 at the United Center on Jan. 12. Tyler Bertuzzi has scored two of the three goals for the Blackhawks against Edmonton this season, while Andre Burakovsky has the other. Connor McDavid (5A) and Evan Bouchard (3G, 2A) each have five points in two games against Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>Last time out, the Blackhawks suffered their 14th overtime loss of the year, falling 4-3 to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. Kyle Connor scored just 33 seconds into overtime to give the Jets the win. Bertuzzi scored twice to set a new career high in goals, while rookie Anton Frondell recorded his first career NHL goal in his debut on home ice. Ilya Mikheyev also added two assists, including his 100th career helper.<\/p>\n<p>The Oilers are coming off a 3-0 home win over the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday and have won six of their last eight games. Max Jones, Kasperi Kapanen, and McDavid (EN) were the goal scorers in the game for Edmonton. Connor Ingram stopped all 27 shots faced to earn the shutout in net.<\/p>\n<p>With 85 points through 75 games this season, the Oilers are currently second in the Pacific Division and sit only two points behind the first-place Anaheim Ducks. Edmonton has a three-point cushion over the third-place Vegas Golden Knights. Colton Dach won\u2019t play with an undisclosed injury.<\/p>\n<p>Projected Goaltending Matchup<\/p>\n<p>Spencer Knight (18-21-11, 2.74 GAA, .906 Sv%, 3 SO) vs. Tristan Jarry (17-9-2, 3.34 GAA, .883 Sv%, 2 SO)<\/p>\n<p>Knight is expected to make his 51st start of the season for the Blackhawks. The 24-year-old allowed four goals on 24 shots faced to record the overtime loss against Winnipeg in his most recent start on Tuesday. Knight is 0-2-2 with a 3.23 GAA and .905 Sv% in four career games against Edmonton.<\/p>\n<p>Jarry will make his 28th start of the season and 15th for the Oilers. The 30-year-old veteran stopped 16 of 18 shots faced to earn the win against the Utah Mammoth in his last start on Mar. 24.
